Solidus Techno Power Pvt. Ltd. has successfully finished a 1MWp grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (SPV) power plant located in the parking area near DT Mall at I.T. Park, Chandigarh. This project was awarded by the Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST) as part of its commitment to advancing sustainable energy initiatives.
As a turnkey project, Solidus Techno Power handled all aspects, including design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the advanced SPV system. The project uniquely adapted to a curved parking layout, presenting specific design challenges that were effectively managed by the company’s skilled team.
It also comes with a comprehensive 10-year warranty, along with operation and maintenance services, ensuring the plant’s long-term efficiency and reliability while enhancing the city’s energy sustainability. The newly established solar power plant is poised to significantly address the rising energy needs of the city while promoting environmental sustainability.
Over its projected 25-year lifespan, the facility is anticipated to produce around 1.3 million kWh of clean energy annually, leading to a reduction of approximately 31,207.5 metric tons of CO2 emissions, based on an output of 0.95 kg of CO2 per kWh generated. This initiative will greatly aid the region in lowering its carbon footprint and tackling climate change.
