On March 4, 2025, Solar Industries India Ltd announced that its fully owned subsidiary, Solar Defence and Aerospace Ltd, has secured a ₹239 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence. The agreement outlines the supply of multi-mode hand grenades, with delivery expected within a year.

This deal is a significant contribution to the country’s defence capabilities, underscoring Solar Defence and Aerospace’s role in providing high-quality defence solutions. Earlier, on February 28, Solar Industries revealed that it and its subsidiary had secured defence orders valued at ₹2,150 crore from an international client. These orders are expected to be fulfilled over the next six years.

However, the company’s management mentioned that it may not achieve the previously forecasted 30% revenue growth for FY25 due to a slowdown in the domestic market. Despite steady growth in the defence sector, there may be a slight variation of 5-10% in revenue growth.

The Pinaka project, another key initiative, is expected to be completed over 8-12 years. While the company anticipates a slight dip in revenue growth, it expects margins to improve. In its latest earnings report for the December quarter, Solar Industries reported a 55% rise in net profit, amounting to ₹314.87 crore, with revenues reaching ₹1,973.08 crore.
