Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has achieved the milestone of producing two million vehicles in India, a defining moment in its 25-year journey in the country. The success coincides with the Group’s strongest performance to date in India, with October 2025 recording the highest monthly results since its establishment, underscoring India’s importance in the global value chain.

More than 500,000 of these vehicles are built on the India-developed MQB-A0-IN platform which underpins successful models such as the Škoda Kushaq, Slavia, Kylaq and the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus. The most recent 500,000 units were produced in just three and a half years — a testament to the growing demand for India-built products that meet global standards.

Škoda Auto India posted a record 10-month performance with 61,607 units sold in 2025, more than double the previous year. Volkswagen India celebrated its best-ever Diwali sales, with the Virtus strengthening its position and securing over 40% share in the premium sedan segment within 40 months.

The Group’s luxury brands also delivered outstanding progress. Bentley established a dedicated entity — Bentley India — with new facilities in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Porsche expanded to 13 retail points nationwide and added more than 4,400 customers over six years. Audi’s RS Q8 received the 2025 Performance Car of the Year title, Audi Approved: plus registered 5% growth year-to-date, and the brand strengthened the EV network with 6,500+ charging points added under the Charge My Audi program. SAVWIPL’s ultra-luxury brand Lamborghini recorded its strongest-ever performance in 2024, delivering 113 cars — up 10% from 2023. With the debut of the Temerario in India, the brand completed its hybrid transition under the Direzione Cor Tauri roadmap.

“Every achievement reflects our unwavering belief in India’s capabilities — as both a key market and a future mobility hub,” said Piyush Arora, CEO & Managing Director, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India. “Reaching the two-million mark is a result of continuous investment in people, technology, and localisation. Above all, it signifies the trust that Indian customers place in our six brands.” Exports remain a major contributor to the Group’s operations, with more than 700,000 vehicles already shipped to Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East under the “Made in India, Driven by the World” vision.

SAVWIPL operates advanced production facilities in Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Nearly €600 million has been invested in Pune to deepen localisation and enable flexible, multi-brand manufacturing. The company continues to drive efficiency, competitiveness, and value-chain localisation to support long-term growth in India — for both domestic and global markets.
