Škoda Auto delivered a strong performance during the first half of 2026, recording higher vehicle deliveries, solid financial growth, and continued momentum in electric mobility. The company delivered 555,700 vehicles to customers worldwide between January and June, representing a 9.1% increase compared with the same period last year. The performance enabled Škoda to retain its position as the second best-selling automotive brand in Europe (EU27+4) while strengthening its presence across key international markets.
The company’s financial performance reflected the growth in sales volumes and operational efficiency. Revenue increased 6.3% year-on-year to €16.0 billion, while operating profit also rose 6.3% to €1.4 billion. Return on sales remained strong at 8.5%, and net cash flow improved 14.3% to €1.7 billion, supported by disciplined cost management and greater operational synergies within the Volkswagen Group and Brand Group Core.
Electric mobility remained one of the key drivers of growth. Deliveries of the all-electric Elroq and Enyaq climbed 48.3% to a record 108,200 vehicles, helping Škoda become the fourth best-selling battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand in Europe. Plug-in hybrid vehicle deliveries also increased 11.8% to 24,100 units. Electrified vehicles accounted for 132,300 deliveries globally, with more than 27% of customers in Europe choosing either a fully electric or plug-in hybrid model during the reporting period.
Škoda further strengthened its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the Epiq and Peaq, expanding customer choice across different market segments. The two newly launched models have already generated more than 30,000 customer orders, highlighting strong market acceptance. Production of the Epiq has commenced at Volkswagen’s Navarra plant in Spain, while manufacturing adjustments at Škoda’s Czech facilities are supporting production of the Peaq flagship electric model.
The company also recorded strong performances across several international markets. Germany remained Škoda’s largest market with 120,400 deliveries, representing a 19.6% increase, while growth was also reported in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, India, Poland, France, Italy, Austria, and Spain. Outside Europe, India reinforced its position as Škoda’s fourth-largest global market with 35,700 deliveries, while North African markets including Morocco, Egypt, and Tunisia also posted significant growth.
Among individual models, the Octavia retained its position as Škoda’s best-selling vehicle with 96,500 deliveries, followed by the Kodiaq, Kamiq, and Fabia. The Elroq emerged as one of Europe’s top-performing electric vehicles, ranking among the leading BEV models in several key European markets, while the Enyaq continued to strengthen its presence across the region.
Commenting on the results, Klaus Zellmer, Chief Executive Officer of Škoda Auto, said the company’s first-half performance demonstrated the strength of its customer-focused strategy, supported by an expanding product portfolio, sustainable growth, and continued financial discipline. He credited customers, employees, suppliers, dealer partners, and the KOVO Trade Union for contributing to the company’s progress in a competitive business environment.
Holger Peters, Board Member for Finance, IT and Legal Affairs, said the improved financial performance reflected higher revenue, stronger profitability, and healthy cash generation, providing the company with the resources to continue investing in its long-term transformation strategy.
Martin Jahn, Board Member for Sales and Marketing, noted that customer demand for Škoda’s electric vehicle lineup continues to accelerate across global markets. He said the strong response to the Epiq and Peaq, together with the sustained success of the Enyaq and Elroq, reinforces the company’s growing position in Europe’s electric vehicle market while supporting continued global sales growth.
With a product lineup spanning multiple segments and a global presence across nearly 100 markets, Škoda Auto delivered over one million vehicles worldwide in 2025. The company operates major production facilities in the Czech Republic, along with additional manufacturing capacities in several international markets through partnerships.
