SiMa.ai, a company focused on Physical AI, has raised $150 million in Series C funding, taking its total capital raised to $500 million and valuing the company at $1.45 billion. The funding round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with participation from Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital and StepStone Group. AllianceBernstein, Baron Capital and J.P. Morgan joined the round as new investors.
SiMa.ai plans to use the funding to expand its Physical AI platform across applications including humanoid robotics, automotive systems and drones. The company said the investment will also support the development of next-generation hardware and the expansion of its software platform.
According to Counterpoint Research, cumulative shipments of Physical AI devices, including robotics, automotive systems and drones, are projected to reach 145 million units by 2035. SiMa.ai is positioning its platform for applications where AI processing needs to operate directly on physical devices and at the edge. The company combines purpose-built silicon and software through its Physical AI platform. Its software environment, Palette Neat, is designed to support the development and deployment of AI applications on physical devices.
Krishna Rangasayee, Founder and CEO, SiMa.ai, said: “Physical AI in humanoids, automotive, and drones is the gateway to a $50 trillion market that has remained largely untouched by modern innovation. While others are still figuring out the pieces or repurposing their cloud offerings, we’ve built the entire puzzle. This investment will further catapult us into a dominant position, giving us the resources to scale our purpose-built platform and secure an undeniable lead in the Physical AI race.”
The company plans to develop next-generation Physical AI silicon capable of delivering up to 1,000 TOPS of compute. The products are targeted for the first half of 2028 and are expected to include machine learning IP, chiplets and systems-on-chip. SiMa.ai plans to expand its presence in medium- to high-end drones, humanoid robotics, automotive advanced driver assistance systems and AI-enabled cockpits. The company said customers using its existing platform will be able to migrate their applications to its next-generation product architectures.
SiMa.ai has also reported growth in its commercial business. Between 2024 and 2025, the company said its revenue growth increased fourfold year over year, with further growth expected in 2026. Its customer and partner network includes ARK Electronics, AVerMedia, Bosch, Emerson, Kontron, L&T Technology Services, Micron, STIGA, Synopsys, TRUMPF SE and Virya Autonomous Technologies in Bengaluru.
Mike Dauber, General Partner, Amplify Partners, said: “Since our initial partnership with SiMa.ai from day one, we have believed its vision was both clear and transformative: to build a fundamentally new architecture for Physical AI where software dictates the silicon.” Scott Darling, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies Capital, said: “As enterprise intelligence migrates into the physical world, it’s been challenged by the tradeoff between performance and power. SiMa.ai is shattering that barrier.” John Avirett, Partner, StepStone Group, said: “Truly scaling physical AI requires more than just raw compute. It demands incredible power efficiency and seamless integration into highly constrained environments.”
Headquartered in San Jose, California, SiMa.ai specializes in Physical AI platforms supporting applications across robotics, industrial automation, automotive, smart vision, aerospace and defense, and healthcare industries. The company focuses on delivering software-centric AI solutions optimized for edge deployment and real-time performance.
