Sigma Advanced Systems Limited has secured an additional long-term agreement worth nearly £125 million (around ₹1,600 crore) with Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions. The agreement strengthens Sigma’s relationship with Rolls-Royce and expands its role in the aerospace major’s UK supply chain. It follows a separate long-term agreement worth around £300 million (approximately ₹3,800 crore) secured recently, taking the combined value of the two agreements to about £425 million.
The latest contract will enable Bromford and Sigma to manufacture a wider range of critical aero-engine components. Products covered under the agreement include aero-engine rings, casings, lock plates and other engine structures. Manufacturing will be carried out across Sigma’s facilities in India and the UK, creating a dual-source supply arrangement for Rolls-Royce. The model is expected to provide greater manufacturing flexibility and strengthen supply-chain resilience for critical aerospace programmes.
The agreement highlights the strategic value of Sigma’s acquisition of Bromford Precision Solutions. The UK company brings specialist capabilities in aero-engine rings, casings and precision-machined components, along with long-standing approvals from major original equipment manufacturers.
Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Sigma Advanced Systems, said the agreement demonstrates the growing capabilities of India’s aerospace and precision engineering sector. “Global OEMs such as Rolls-Royce are increasingly looking to India not only for cost competitiveness but also for engineering capability, quality and manufacturing scale. By combining Bromford’s specialist UK capabilities with our integrated manufacturing network in India, we can offer a global dual-source solution,” he said.
The new agreement is also expected to secure the long-term future of Bromford’s UK manufacturing operations. The facility in Leicestershire supports skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs and forms part of Sigma’s growing aerospace platform in the United Kingdom.
Sigma operates Bromford alongside its other UK subsidiary, Nasmyth. The two businesses provide complementary capabilities and strengthen the Group’s ability to participate in complex, long-duration aerospace programmes. Sigma Advanced Systems is an Indian aerospace and defence precision engineering company listed on the BSE and NSE. The company develops and manufactures systems for aerospace, avionics, naval applications, radar and communications. Through its UK businesses, Sigma has expanded its presence in the global aerospace supply chain and serves international OEMs across demanding manufacturing programmes.
Bromford Precision Solutions, founded in 1988 and based in Leicestershire, specialises in high-precision aero-engine rings, casings and machined components. The company serves aerospace and power-generation customers and holds approvals from leading OEMs including Rolls-Royce and Siemens.
