Sidel’s Octeville facility has earned the Gold Medal from sustainability rating agency EcoVadis after a thorough review of its supply chain strategy at both the local and corporate levels. In addition, Sidel was ranked in the top 5% of companies in 2024 by EcoVadis, reinforcing its dedication to sustainability practices and transparency.
“We are proud to receive the prestigious Gold Medal for our EcoVadis evaluation,” said Francesca Bellucci, VP of Strategy and Sustainability at Sidel. “This achievement is a testament to our strong commitment to sustainability, ethics, and responsible business conduct.”
Sidel began its partnership with EcoVadis in 2017 to assess and enhance its environmental, social, and ethical performance, aligning with its updated supply chain strategy. With over 17 years of experience, EcoVadis has evaluated the sustainability practices of more than 125,000 companies across four key areas: environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics, and responsible sourcing. The most recent assessment included over 300 questions covering vital topics such as environmental impact, labor rights, health and safety, ethics, and responsible procurement.
“The evaluation was thorough and demanding, requiring strong collaboration across our teams,” stated Armelle Biton, HSE Business Partner at Sidel. “It involved assessments at both the Octeville site and the corporate level, adding complexity and making this recognition even more significant.”
This Gold Medal not only highlights Sidel’s achievements to date but also paves the way for further progress in group-level sustainability reporting. “We are excited by this success and confident it will motivate us to achieve even greater sustainability milestones,” added Francesca.
