In a significant stride towards excellence, Shyam Steel has unveiled its state-of-the-art Raghunathpur Steel Plant, marking a new pinnacle in their journey of growth and innovation. This cutting-edge facility boasts advanced technology, including DRI Plants, a Power plant, Steel Melting Shop, and a Rolling Mill, ensuring top-notch production quality.

The inauguration of this plant adds to Shyam Steel’s impressive portfolio, which already includes four integrated steel plants in Durgapur, Mejia, Bamunara, and Howrah. Purushottam Beriwala, Director of Shyam Steel Industries, expressed that this strategic expansion is a significant milestone, aligning perfectly with their goal of enhancing capabilities and providing superior service to their esteemed customers.

Director of Shyam Steel Industries, Lalit Beriwala, recently shared his excitement for an important milestone. He emphasized their commitment to India’s industrial growth and community development. The Raghunathpur Steel Plant, he explained, represents not just a continuation of their legacy but also the creation of over 5,000 direct job opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers in Purulia.

Spread across 600 acres at the Jungle Sundari Karmanagari (formerly Raghunathpur Industrial Park), the plant is poised to significantly boost the local economy. Construction of the plant began in April last year, and it is expected to transform Purulia’s landscape, aligning with Shyam Steel’s goal to double its turnover from Rs. 4500 crores to Rs. 9000 crores in the next two years.

The company reaffirms its pledge to support India’s goal of reaching a 300 million-tonne steel production target by 2030-31. This commitment aligns perfectly with the National Steel Policy and the overarching objective of propelling India into a self-sufficient $5 trillion economy. As the plant prepares for full-scale operations, it stands poised to become a beacon of advancement, prosperity, and local pride for the community of Purulia.
