Shree Cement, a prominent player in the Indian cement industry, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art grinding unit in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, with an impressive annual capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). This greenfield project, which saw an investment of Rs 850 crore, is set to generate over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The unit’s strategic location, in proximity to established railway infrastructure, ensures cost-effective transportation of raw materials from Rajasthan. Additionally, the plant will utilize both road and rail networks for cement dispatch.
A noteworthy feature of this facility is its collaboration with the nearby Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant. The plant will make use of the thermal power plant’s 100% fly ash waste—approximately 5,000 tonnes per day—optimizing operational efficiency and promoting sustainable practices.
