Shree Cement, a major player in the Indian cement industry, has appointed Jay Mukhopadhyay as its new Corporate Safety Head. Mr Mukhopadhyay brings over 30 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), having led safety initiatives across large industrial operations.
He is known for implementing effective safety programs and integrating safety practices into day-to-day operations. His work has focused on building structured systems that combine regulatory compliance with a strong emphasis on workforce well-being. At Shree Cement, he will oversee safety strategy and contribute to strengthening the company’s safety framework across all sites.
In his new position, Mr Mukhopadhyay will be responsible for standardizing safety processes, promoting safe work behaviours, and aligning health and safety practices with global standards. His approach will include training, system development, and engagement across departments to support a consistent safety culture.
