Hexaware Technologies has named Shantanu Baruah as President and Global Head of its Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Insurance (H&I) business. Based in New Jersey, he will oversee global strategy, business development, and customer engagement across the sector.
Shantanu Baruah brings more than 25 years of industry experience, with a strong background in managing growth, leading cross-functional teams, and driving large-scale transformations. Before joining Hexaware, he served as Executive Vice President at HCLTech, where he led the Healthcare division and played a key role in expanding operations in the Americas during a period of major industry change.
His appointment comes at a time when artificial intelligence and data technologies are transforming healthcare delivery and operations. Hexaware aims to support clients in improving patient care, accelerating research and innovation, and streamlining processes across the healthcare ecosystem. Shantanu will lead efforts to strengthen Hexaware’s offerings in these areas.

Shantanu Baruah holds a master’s degree in computer applications and a bachelor’s degree in zoology, giving him both a technical and scientific foundation.
