Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested ₹5 crore in its fully-owned subsidiary, Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited. The amount was allocated through the purchase of 50 lakh equity shares at a face value of ₹10 each, raising the total investment in the unit to ₹55 crore.
This financial move aligns with the provisions of Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements, 2015, and includes all necessary disclosures under Schedule III, Part A, Paragraph A(1), as well as in line with SEBI’s circular dated July 13, 2023.
Established on December 16, 2021, Shakti EV Mobility focuses on the electric vehicle segment. The company manufactures electric motors for various vehicle types, including two-, three-, and four-wheelers, along with specialized vehicles. Its portfolio also includes EV chargers and control systems. As of March 31, 2025, it recorded assets of ₹1,012.18 crore and revenue of ₹37.27 crore.
Since the electric mobility firm is entirely owned by Shakti Pumps, this investment is not considered a related-party transaction under current rules, and arm’s length pricing requirements do not apply. The transaction was carried out without the need for government or regulatory approvals and was completed on the same day as the share issuance. The funding aims to accelerate the growth and operational capacity of Shakti EV Mobility. The company plans to enhance its production capabilities and further its role in the evolving electric vehicle market.
