Serentica Renewables has entered into a Power Supply and Consumption Agreement (PSCA) with INOX Air Products (INOXAP) for the supply of 75 megawatts (MW) of hybrid renewable energy. This agreement is intended to significantly expand INOXAP’s renewable energy portfolio across four of its key manufacturing facilities, located in different states.

Under the terms of the agreement, Serentica will deliver the 75 MW of renewable energy through the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling cost-efficient and flexible energy usage across multiple locations. The energy supplied will be a hybrid mix, leveraging wind, solar, and storage assets to ensure consistent availability.

This development represents a major step in Serentica’s strategy to provide clean energy solutions at scale across state borders. The agreement underscores the company’s capability to support large industrial consumers with geographically distributed operations, thereby facilitating their transition to more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

INOX Air Products, India’s largest producer of industrial, electronic, and medical gases, is expected to benefit significantly from this initiative. The addition of 75 MW to its renewable energy portfolio will enhance its overall sustainability framework and support its decarbonisation objectives.

Akshay Hiranandani, Chief Executive Officer of Serentica Renewables, noted that the inter-state and multi-location nature of this agreement demonstrates Serentica’s capacity to deliver reliable, firm, and adaptable renewable energy solutions to industrial clients operating at scale. He described the project as an important advancement in enabling industrial decarbonisation across India.

S K Jena, Head of Operations (LASU & Onsite Plants) at INOX Air Products, stated that the agreement marks a substantial milestone in the company’s journey toward achieving net-zero emissions. By increasing the share of renewables in its energy mix, INOXAP moves closer to its environmental sustainability goals.

Serentica’s hybrid renewable model integrates wind, solar, and energy storage technologies to deliver around-the-clock clean energy. The company’s approach is aimed at supporting the energy transition for hard-to-abate sectors while contributing to national carbon reduction targets. This agreement is part of Serentica’s broader efforts to expand its clean energy footprint and accelerate industrial decarbonisation through tailored, large-scale renewable energy projects.

Founded in 2022, Serentica Renewables is a next-generation independent power producer (IPP) focused on decarbonizing India’s industrial sector through firm, dispatchable renewable energy solutions. The company is dedicated to making clean energy the backbone of India’s commercial and industrial power consumption, which currently accounts for more than half of the nation’s electricity demand.

Serentica has already achieved a renewable energy capacity of 1,000 MW, with several large-scale projects underway across India. These projects utilize a mix of solar, wind, battery storage, and smart balancing technologies to deliver dependable green energy.

Backed by a $650 million investment from global investor KKR, the company aims to supply over 50 billion units of clean power annually—displacing approximately 47 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. With a robust pipeline of projects and an innovative approach to energy contracting and technology deployment, Serentica is playing a pivotal role in accelerating India’s clean energy transition.
