SCMHRD Triumphs at Cummins India’s REDEFINE 2024 Case Study Challenge

Cummins India Limited, a leader in power solutions, successfully concluded REDEFINE 2024, its flagship B-school case study competition. Team Musketeers from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune, secured the championship title, earning the coveted winner’s trophy and a cash prize. Team Strategic McQueens from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli took the runner-up spot, showcasing commendable efforts.

This year’s competition centered on the theme, “How Digital Solutions Enable Sustainability in Traditional Businesses?” encouraging students to develop forward-thinking strategies. A total of 3780 students across 1260 teams representing 18 premier B-schools participated, offering innovative approaches to the challenge. After a rigorous selection process, six finalist teams advanced to the grand finale held in Pune. The two-day event featured leadership sessions, networking opportunities, and tours of the Cummins Technical Center India and Kothrud Engine Plant, culminating in a jury evaluation and live employee voting at the Cummins India Office Campus.

A distinguished panel, including Anupama Kaul, Human Resources Leader, Subramanian Chidambaran, Director – Corporate Strategy, and Ajay Patil, Chief Financial Officer, evaluated the finalists’ presentations. In a special social media contest, finalists also created engaging introduction videos, with Team Musketeers receiving the highest engagement and winning the contest.
