Schneider Electric has launched its first site under the new Impact Buildings Program, starting with a flagship location in Dubai. The initiative focuses on transforming the company’s global commercial buildings into efficient, resilient, and sustainable spaces using its own advanced technologies.

As part of the program, Schneider Electric is implementing a range of integrated systems, including its EcoStruxure Building Operation, Power Monitoring Expert, Building Data Platform, and Planon’s workplace management solutions. These tools work together to boost energy efficiency, enhance system performance, and improve the overall experience for building occupants.

The Dubai location, named “The NEST,” spans more than 10,000 square meters and accommodates over 1,000 employees. It also features the city’s first Schneider Electric Global Innovation Hub—a space where customers can interact with and experience Schneider Electric’s technology in action. The site includes a dedicated training center for customers and partners, with a strong focus on local talent development and youth skills training to support the region’s clean energy transition.

The NEST is expected to cut energy consumption by 37% compared to the previous facility, with projected annual savings of around 572 metric tons of CO₂—equivalent to the electricity use of roughly 77 average homes.

With buildings responsible for approximately 37% of global carbon emissions, Schneider Electric is using this program to set a clear example of how smart, sustainable buildings can be developed. The company plans to expand the program to more locations, including both new builds and retrofits, over the next 18 months.

Manish Kumar, Executive Vice President for Digital Energy, remarked, “This program is about demonstrating what’s possible. We’re showing how buildings can evolve to meet future business needs—by becoming more responsive, connected, and aligned with sustainability goals.”

Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer, added, “The NEST represents a new era in building design. It supports national goals for carbon reduction while offering a modern, collaborative environment for innovation. This is just the beginning of a broader effort to redefine how buildings function and serve the people inside them.”
