Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has joined forces with One Click LCA, a leading sustainability software provider for the construction and manufacturing sectors. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap in environmental data for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, enabling more precise assessments of buildings’ environmental impacts.

Buildings contribute to 39% of global carbon emissions, and with 50% of existing structures expected to remain operational by 2050, Schneider Electric emphasizes retrofitting as a critical solution. Retrofitting existing buildings has the potential to cut lifecycle emissions by up to 83%, highlighting its importance in addressing climate challenges.

Through this partnership, detailed environmental data for Schneider Electric’s MEP products will now be available on the One Click LCA platform. This initiative, initially targeting projects in Europe, allows architects, engineers, and construction professionals to integrate accurate data into lifecycle assessments, setting a new benchmark for environmental accountability in the industry.

“Access to reliable environmental data is essential for driving sustainable decision-making in the construction sector,” said Sorouch Kheradmand, Global Head of Sustainability at Schneider Electric. “By making our product data accessible through One Click LCA, we are raising the bar for transparency and innovation.”

Panu Pasanen, CEO & Founder of One Click LCA, added, “This partnership addresses a longstanding data gap in the building lifecycle assessment process. Incorporating Schneider Electric’s comprehensive product data into our platform enables stakeholders to make informed decisions that contribute to a greener future.”

One Click LCA is a globally recognized platform used in over 170 countries, offering advanced lifecycle assessment and environmental product declaration tools. Its AI-driven software supports decarbonization and sustainability efforts across the construction and manufacturing industries, with integrations for leading BIM software tools and compliance with over 80 global standards.

Schneider Electric continues to drive sustainability by providing cutting-edge solutions in electrification, automation, and digital transformation.
