Schneider Electric has joined forces with Noida International Airport to introduce comprehensive building and energy management solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. Through this strategic partnership, Schneider Electric will implement advanced building management systems, including Electrical SCADA and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), to streamline energy use and reduce environmental impact.

As part of its commitment to sustainable airport operations, Schneider Electric will integrate renewable energy sources, smart building management systems, and automated control technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions at the airport. This includes monitoring and controlling critical MEP services, such as HVAC systems (Air Handling Units, Treated Fresh Air units, Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems) and electrical systems (Low Tension and High-Tension Panels, Sub Main Distribution Boards, Multifunction Meters). Plumbing systems, including pumps and water meters, are also part of the solution.

The integration will extend to essential airport subsystems like Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges, creating a cohesive and efficient operational environment. Additionally, energy and KPI dashboards will provide real-time insights into energy usage, helping the airport achieve its sustainability targets.

Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India and MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Today’s airports must deliver superior services while reducing their environmental impact. Schneider Electric is proud to collaborate with Noida International Airport, one of India’s largest airports, to develop robust, sustainable infrastructure. Our solutions will ensure uninterrupted power and manage vital systems such as Baggage Handling and HVAC, with energy dashboards monitoring consumption and identifying efficiency opportunities.”

Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport, expressed confidence in Schneider Electric’s expertise, noting that their advanced systems will play a critical role in ensuring efficient airport operations.

Udai Singh, Vice President of Power Systems at Schneider Electric India, highlighted the company’s focus on Airports 4.0, saying, “Our goal is to build the airports of the future by integrating smart energy and building management solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and resilience. Our collaboration with Noida International Airport reflects our commitment to digital transformation, enhancing operations, passenger experience, and environmental stewardship.”

Schneider Electric will continue to support the airport through system maintenance, upgrades, and scalability, ensuring the solutions adapt to future needs. The systems will use open protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and API, guaranteeing seamless communication and interoperability.
