Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy and automation technologies, has introduced its latest Industrial Copilot—a smart digital assistant developed in partnership with Microsoft. Designed specifically for industrial environments, this tool supports open automation systems by streamlining processes, improving productivity, and accelerating time-to-market for new solutions.

The assistant is fully embedded within Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform, a leading open automation system. By integrating advanced intelligence directly into this modular and interoperable platform, the assistant offers a level of adaptability and insight that traditional, closed systems struggle to achieve.

This new digital assistant enables smoother workflows by reducing repetitive tasks, supporting collaborative engineering efforts, and enabling faster decision-making with data-driven insights. Key benefits include reduced downtime through immediate diagnostics, improved maintenance scheduling, and simplified application development.

“As India’s manufacturing industry rapidly transforms, there is a growing need for systems that are both agile and efficient,” said Arvind Kakru, VP – Industrial Automation, Schneider Electric India. “Our smart assistant, built with Microsoft and shaped by our extensive industry experience, enhances open systems by making engineering simpler, speeding up deployment, and empowering teams to accomplish more with fewer resources. It reinforces essential principles such as openness, modularity, and seamless teamwork.”

Part of Schneider Electric’s broader commitment to open, software-based automation, the assistant is available within the newly launched EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform. This unified environment ensures compatibility across various hardware and software systems and enables real-time data access—essential for accurate suggestions, predictive maintenance, and fast issue resolution. The tool bridges the gap between machines, operators, and engineers, supporting smarter and more resilient industrial operations.
