Schneider Electric Appoints Jai Sharma as CFO for Greater India Zone

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has appointed Jai Sharma as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Greater India Zone. He succeeds Preeti Gupta Mohanty, who has taken on a new role as Senior Vice President – Finance, International Operations.

This leadership transition highlights Schneider Electric’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and promoting leadership from within. Jai Sharma’s elevation follows over a decade of progressive roles within the organization, while Preeti’s move to an international role signals the depth and strength of Indian leadership within the company.

In his new role, Jai Sharma will oversee financial planning, governance, and performance management for the Greater India Zone. His focus will be on strengthening financial operations, enabling business resilience, and aligning financial strategy with Schneider Electric’s broader sustainability and digital transformation goals.

With nearly 18 years of experience across strategic finance, planning, M&A, and operational finance, Jai has built a solid track record of delivering results. He has been with Schneider Electric for over 11 years, holding key roles in Business Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Merger Integration. Most recently, he served as Business Finance Head – India, where he led the FP&A function, providing strategic insights across multiple business segments.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Jai spent six years with Tata Teleservices Ltd, where he led financial planning and analysis initiatives. A Chartered Accountant, he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University.
