Schaeffler India, a prominent player in motion technology, has enhanced its product lineup by adding Made-in-India large-size Spherical Roller Bearings (SRBs), Cast Steel Housings, and associated components. This expansion further underscores the company’s commitment to local manufacturing, with these products being produced at Schaeffler India’s state-of-the-art facility in Savli, Gujarat.
The introduction of these new offerings marks a significant growth of Schaeffler’s industrial portfolio, targeting demanding applications in sectors such as steel, cement, mining, power plants, and pulp & paper. The range will include Spherical Roller Bearings with outer diameters up to 720 mm, spanning series 222, 223, 230, 231, 240, and 241. These bearings are produced according to X-life quality standards, delivering enhanced load ratings, improved performance, reduced friction, and a longer lifespan.
In addition to the bearings, Schaeffler has also unveiled large-size Cast Steel Housings, along with Adapter, Withdrawal, and Hydraulic Sleeves. These solutions provide Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and consultants with a comprehensive set of products from a single source. The housings are engineered to offer superior strength and durability under challenging operating conditions. They feature advanced sealing, internal lubrication grooves, provisions for vibration and temperature sensors, and auto-lubrication systems, all of which contribute to higher performance, reliability, and simplified maintenance.
Seshan Iyer, President of Bearings and Industrial Solutions at Schaeffler India, commented, “This launch demonstrates our dedication to the Make-in-India initiative, and our ongoing focus on excellence in manufacturing, combined with local engineering and R&D. By producing these key components locally, we’re making our solutions more accessible, cost-effective, and responsive to the needs of Indian industries. As demand for high-quality, value-oriented solutions rises, we are excited to bring our global expertise to India and better serve our customers.”
The new product offerings include bearings, housings, sleeves, sealing solutions, lubricants, and condition monitoring systems, positioning Schaeffler as a reliable, single-source partner for motion solutions. These products are set to support heavy industrial sectors, including conveyors, stacker reclaimers, gearboxes, crushers, and pulping systems.
