Bengaluru-based drone manufacturer Scandron has introduced the CargoMax 20KHC, India’s most powerful cargo drone, capable of carrying 200kg of payload. Designed to enhance aerial logistics, particularly for the Indian Armed Forces, the fully autonomous drone enables seamless last-mile deliveries with a 15km operational range and a 6000m AMSL ceiling.

Scandron offers specialized variants of the CargoMax series tailored for high-altitude, desert, and naval operations, ensuring adaptability across diverse environments. At Aero India 2025, Scandron is also showcasing the SkyKrane 40 Aerial Crane and the ScanD suite of surveillance drones, further expanding its footprint in the drone ecosystem.

The CargoMax series reinforces India’s self-reliance in drone technology, reducing dependency on imports while positioning the country at the forefront of aerial logistics innovation. Built for both urban and remote deployments, these drones optimize operations in sectors such as defense, logistics, and disaster relief.

CargoMax drones are built for autonomous operations across multiple sectors, integrating a common command and control architecture with redundancy layers to ensure stability, safety, and reliability. The technology has diverse applications across several critical sectors. In high-altitude logistics, it supports last-mile deliveries at altitudes above 5500 meters AMSL, playing a crucial role in operations for the Indian Army. It is also engineered for naval and island operations, enabling precise landings on moving platforms, making it ideal for naval resupply missions. In supply chain logistics, the system enhances mid-mile logistics and streamlines warehouse-to-warehouse transport, improving overall efficiency in the supply chain.

Furthermore, it significantly contributes to disaster relief efforts, particularly with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The technology facilitates heavy-lift emergency supply deliveries to disaster-stricken areas, ensuring quick and effective relief. Its versatility and ability to operate in challenging conditions make it a valuable asset in both military and humanitarian applications. Future-ready and customizable, CargoMax drones evolve with industry needs, offering tailored solutions for a wide range of commercial and defense applications.

Speaking on the launch, Arjun Naik, CEO & Founder of Scandron, said: “At Scandron, we are committed to designing and developing disruptive drone solutions that solve real-world challenges. Our focus is on integrating drones into mainstream operations, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs without compromising safety and reliability.”
