SBL Energy Ltd, India’s second-largest industrial and mining explosives company, has appointed Col Shailendra Pathak (retired) as the President of its Defence division. This move aims to strengthen SBL Energy’s defence infrastructure, promote self-reliance, and boost defence exports in line with government goals.
Col Pathak brings nearly 12 years of experience in defence production and business development. He has a strong background in strategic planning, execution, and business management. He is an alumnus of IIT Roorkee, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, and Pune University.

Col Pathak said he is honoured to join SBL Energy and looks forward to driving excellence in defence production and business development. The company serves the mining and infrastructure sectors and is expanding into the defence sector. They also have another entity, Special Blast Limited, located in Raipur, serving a wide range of clients including government organizations, mining contractors, and various other sectors.
