Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited (BSE: 504614 | NSE: SARDAEN) has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting its strongest-ever quarterly earnings despite temporary operational disruptions during the period. The company posted its highest quarterly EBITDA and profit after tax (PAT), reflecting the strength of its integrated business model and disciplined operational approach. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs. 1,717 crore, while EBITDA reached Rs. 762 crore and PAT came in at Rs. 478 crore.

The quarterly profit includes a one-time net benefit of Rs. 110 crore following regulatory approval of the final project cost for the company’s 113 MW Sikkim hydropower plant. The company’s performance remained steady despite planned maintenance shutdowns, a few unplanned outages and seasonal factors that temporarily affected operations. Even under these conditions, consolidated EBITDA registered a 9.4% year-on-year growth, highlighting the resilience of the business.

The energy segment remained the biggest contributor to earnings during the quarter, accounting for nearly 70% of the company’s consolidated EBITDA. The strong contribution from power generation reinforced the company’s strategy of building a balanced portfolio across energy and mining businesses.

Commenting on the results, Pankaj Sarda, Managing Director, said the company had delivered another strong quarter despite temporary operational challenges. He noted that the integrated business structure and disciplined execution enabled Sarda Energy to achieve record profitability, while the tariff true-up for the 113 MW Sikkim hydropower project also supported the quarter’s earnings.

He added that the company’s debt-free balance sheet, healthy cash generation and prudent capital allocation provide a strong foundation for future expansion. The company remains focused on increasing its mining capacity by four times and doubling its energy generation capacity over the medium term. With maintenance activities and other temporary disruptions now completed, the company expects operations to return to normal levels from the second quarter of FY27 while continuing to improve efficiency and create long-term value for stakeholders.
