At the 34th edition of bauma, the world’s premier trade fair for construction equipment, SANY Group, alongside Putzmeister, drew widespread attention with an impressive exhibition of advanced, eco-friendly machinery and intelligent digital systems. Under the theme “The World of Efficiency, Your Partner to Create the Best,” SANY presented a powerful lineup across a 5,256 m² booth.
On opening day alone, SANY attracted over 200 potential clients, securing preliminary orders worth nearly 3 billion yuan (approx. €360.3 million). The company displayed 35 cutting-edge machines, including 15 global debuts, with 11 electric models and 31 CE-certified units, underscoring its commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
SANY introduced its largest electric crawler crane, the SCC2000A-EV, designed for heavy lifting and extended performance. Equipped with a powerful 422kWh CATL battery, it delivers up to nine hours of continuous operation, making it a practical solution for full-day workloads. The crane is powered by a 234kW Danfoss electric motor and boasts a robust 200-ton lifting capacity, offering flexibility with multiple boom configurations. Built to meet European transport and safety regulations, it combines power with compliance for diverse construction environments.
SANY’s SY215E electric excavator brings together power, intelligence, and eco-conscious design. It is powered by a 150kW electric motor paired with a 422kWh battery, offering six to eight hours of heavy-duty operational capability. The excavator supports dual CCS2 fast charging and integrates AI-powered 360° safety cameras, which enhance operator awareness and job site security. This makes the SY215E a high-performance, future-ready choice for demanding excavation tasks.
The STH625E compact telehandler has been optimized for the European market, particularly for use in tight and urban job sites. With dimensions of just 1.85 meters in width and 1.92 meters in height, it’s ideal for maneuvering in confined spaces. The 34kWh battery offers up to eight hours of runtime, while the machine achieves a travel speed of 20 km/h. Compact yet capable, it provides a balanced solution for material handling tasks in space-constrained areas.
Across SANY’s electric equipment range, rapid charging capabilities are a key focus. Most machines support industry-standard charging protocols such as CCS2, enabling fast turnaround and minimal downtime on busy job sites. These features are particularly critical in high-output environments, where time efficiency directly translates into cost savings and project momentum.
SANY has also prioritized digital integration in its electric machinery. From AI-powered safety systems to energy-efficient components, the equipment features smart technologies that enhance precision, reduce waste, and improve overall operational control. These digital enhancements reflect the growing trend toward automation and data-driven decision-making in the construction sector.
By launching these innovative electric machines, SANY reinforces its commitment to sustainable construction without compromising on performance. Each model is designed to deliver power comparable to traditional diesel counterparts, while significantly reducing emissions, noise, and operational costs. As governments and contractors around the world pursue greener alternatives, SANY’s electric lineup positions itself as a timely and future-facing solution.
SANY’s Digital Intelligence Zone drew strong interest from visitors, showcasing platforms like MySANY and the Mechlink Intelligent Excavation System. Developed in collaboration with Yaowu Technology and SANY’s R&D team, Mechlink enables semi-autonomous excavation via ultra-low latency 5G, allowing L2-level automation in challenging conditions. A standout moment came with a remote excavator demo—controlled from Munich to Huzhou, China, over 8,500 km—which impressed a crowd of more than 200 attendees.
Since entering the European market in 2009 through Bedburg, Germany, SANY has built a robust foundation across the region. Its expanding network includes 150 dealerships, backed by a dedicated team of 120 sales professionals and 70 service vehicles. This widespread support system ensures responsive service and strong local engagement with customers across Europe.
SANY’s commitment to the region is further reflected in its €20 million spare parts inventory, which enables quick maintenance and minimal downtime. With a focus on sustainable and high-performance machinery, the company continues to respond to Europe’s increasing demand for cleaner construction solutions and advanced, intelligent equipment.
