Sanmit Infra Ltd is in the initial stages of establishing a Bio CNG plant as part of its participation in the Sustainable Alternative towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) initiative. Following the approval of the proposal by the board of directors during a recent meeting, the company is set to commence the implementation of this sustainable project in the near future.
Sanmit Infra Ltd is one of the dynamic and forward-thinking companies at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure development. Specializing in diverse sectors such as energy, transportation, and environmental solutions, the company is committed to pioneering projects that align with global sustainability goals.
Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, Sanmit Infra Ltd has successfully executed numerous projects, earning a reputation for innovation and reliability. With a visionary leadership team and a dedication to environmental responsibility, the company continues to drive growth and make significant contributions to the evolving landscape of sustainable development.
The Board is of the opinion that the implementation of the Bio CNG project holds significant potential in contributing to the nation’s efforts to fulfill its climate change objectives. Additionally, the project is set to play a pivotal role in diminishing the reliance on imported natural gas and crude oil, thereby resulting in substantial savings in foreign exchange.
Furthermore, the Bio CNG initiative has the capacity to serve as a resilient shield against unpredictable fluctuations in international crude oil and gas prices, thereby fostering national self-sufficiency in the energy sector.
The Bio CNG project is poised to contribute significantly to national climate change objectives and the reduction of natural gas and crude oil imports, thereby leading to substantial foreign exchange savings. The company aims to establish bulk storage facilities for the direct import of Bitumen from Gulf countries.
Additionally, the company is diversifying its sales portfolio by introducing biomedical waste disinfection systems nationwide. Furthermore, there are plans to introduce an environmentally friendly cremation system, which minimizes wood usage and promotes green practices. In H1FY24, the company achieved sales amounting to Rs. 52.5 crore, accompanied by a Net Profit of Rs. 1.57 crore.
In 2018, the Indian government introduced the SATAT scheme with the primary goal of establishing Compressed Biogas production facilities and making it commercially available for automotive use, thereby significantly reducing pollution levels. The initiative seeks to promote entrepreneurship, stimulate rural economies, and generate employment opportunities. Over the next 2-3 years, the company has strategic plans for extensive expansion, including venturing into Bitumen expansion.
Furthermore, there are plans to diversify sales by introducing biomedical waste disinfection systems throughout India. Additionally, the company is set to launch a pilot project for an eco-friendly cremation system, known as the Green Cremation System (GMS), which aims to use less wood and promote environmentally conscious practices in various crematoriums across the country.
Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has diversified its operations by entering the realm of microwave disinfection systems for hospital waste. They have successfully implemented pilot programs in several municipal and railway hospitals, including those under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
Encouraged by the positive outcomes, they are now set to extend their biomedical waste disinfection systems across the entirety of India. Their innovative microwave disinfection system employs dual technology, synergizing ultraviolet radiation to effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses within biomedical waste.
In the Bitumen sector, the company is strategizing a robust expansion plan. They are keen on establishing bulk storage facilities to directly import Bitumen from Gulf countries. Their focus is on securing a minimum one-acre plot near the JNPT Port, the central hub for Bitumen imports. This strategic move will facilitate the establishment of a decanting unit, enabling us to procure Bitumen in drums and subsequently convert it into bulk Bitumen.
Furthermore, the company is set to embark on a groundbreaking initiative by introducing an eco-friendly cremation system known as the Green Cremation System (GMS). This will serve as a pilot project for various crematoriums across India, aiming to revolutionize the conventional open-air wood fire system while honoring Hindu traditions.
The GMS system is designed to replace traditional wood with “BAMBOO PELLETS,” renowned for their high calorific value and minimal ash generation. This environmentally conscious approach not only contributes to the reduction of pollution levels but also plays a significant role in preserving trees and forests, ultimately making a positive impact on both the environment and society at large.
