Sandvik Coromant showcased its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by participating in the Purple Jallosh festival, held from January 17 to 19, 2025, organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and the Divyang Bhavan Foundation. The event, which emphasized diversity and inclusion, highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to create an inclusive environment through its CSR initiatives.
The Purple Jallosh festival, hosted annually by PCMC, took place at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center in Chinchwad, Pune, and attracted over 1,000 participants from businesses, start-ups, non-profits, and community leaders, all united in their commitment to building a more inclusive society. During the event, Sandvik Coromant India displayed its CSR projects that focus on supporting individuals with disabilities.
The company partners with various organizations to promote inclusion, such as Mai Bal Bhavan NGO, which aids Divyang sports athletes, Grameen Shramik Sanstha, which offers scholarships to Divyang students, Anikert Seva Bhavi Sanstha, which provides solar and vocational training for Divyang individuals, and Divyang Bhavan Foundation, which supplies early intervention equipment and treatment for Divyang students.
A key attraction at the event was the “Canvas of Expression,” where Divyang students, teachers, social workers, and leaders shared their support for inclusivity through artwork. Over 50 Divyang children participated in the art activity, symbolizing their dedication to the cause.
The event also drew notable dignitaries, including the Honorary Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C.P. Radhakrishna, Deputy CM Ajit Dada Pawar, and other distinguished officials, alongside Sandvik Coromant India employees and CSR team members.
