Samvardhana Motherson Finalizes Acquisition of Brazilian Firm Baldi

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SMIL) has successfully completed its acquisition of Baldi Industria E Comercio Ltd, an automotive component manufacturer based in Brazil. The acquisition was executed through SMP Automotive Produtos Automotivos Do Brasil Ltda (SMP Brasil), a wholly owned subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group BV , which is fully owned by SMIL.

Announced in December 2024, the deal was officially closed on May 2, 2025, after receiving all necessary approvals and meeting closing conditions. This acquisition enhances Motherson’s footprint in South America and supports its ongoing strategy of global expansion within the automotive supply industry.
