At the launch event, Pullan emphasized that the Rs 20,000-30,000 segment is currently the fastest-growing segment in the smartphone market. The Galaxy F55 5G, considered the most premium smartphone in the Galaxy F series, will be available in three storage variants starting at Rs 26,999. Consumers can purchase the device on Flipkart, Samsung.com, and select retail stores.

“The Galaxy F55 5G is made in India and made for India,” said Pullan. The smartphone features a premium vegan leather finish back panel, a Super AMOLED+ display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor, 45W super-fast charging, four generations of Android upgrades, and five years of security updates.

Discussing Samsung’s strategy in India, Pullan stated that millennials and Gen Z consumers are looking for differentiation in products. He also pointed out the importance of early 5G adoption for the growth of the overall mobile industry. “In Q1, we have been growing ahead of the industry in terms of 5G contribution, which has made us number one in the 5G segment at 26.6 percent. The India story is centered around product differentiation, a 5G approach, and affordability through Samsung Finance Plus,” he added.

With the launch of the Galaxy F55 5G, Samsung continues to strengthen its position in the Indian market by catering to the evolving needs of consumers and leveraging the increasing adoption of 5G technology.
