Samsung has expanded its local manufacturing footprint by producing several Bespoke home appliances with artificial intelligence capabilities in India, aligning with the Made in India initiative. The shift to local production is aimed at offering Indian consumers high-quality products tailored to their specific needs.
Notably, it’s locally made lineup includes the Curd Maestro refrigerator, known for its ability to make curd overnight. This model, along with other Bespoke home appliances, will now be manufactured at it’s Sriperumbudur factory near Chennai.
In August, Samsung introduced ten new washing machine models, all of which are assembled at the Chennai plant. The company has now broadened its locally manufactured product range to include a Convertible 5-in-1 Curd Maestro Plus refrigerator, Washing machines featuring Eco Bubble Technology, Windfree air conditioners with Durafin Ultra and Digital Inverters and Microwaves with functions like Curd Maker, Roti/Naan, Masala, and Sundry.
Many of these appliances come with SmartThings compatibility and AI features. For instance, AI Energy Mode helps users save on energy and reduce their electricity bills. The SmartThings app allows users to control various functions remotely, such as monitoring smart fridges for recipe recommendations or door alerts, and managing washing machines’ settings and wash times.
