Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) has reported its highest-ever annual and quarterly revenues for FY26, driven by strong performance across automotive and emerging businesses, alongside continued focus on financial discipline and global expansion. The company reported annual revenue exceeding ₹1.25 lakh crore for FY26, registering an 11% year-on-year growth. Quarterly revenue for Q4FY26 stood at ₹34,309 crore, reflecting a 17% increase compared to the same period last year.
SAMIL also achieved its lowest-ever leverage ratio of 0.8x, improving from 0.9x recorded at the end of FY25. The company attributed the improvement to disciplined capital management despite undertaking record capital expenditure investments during the year.
Commenting on the performance, Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman, Motherson, said FY26 marked another significant milestone for the group amid a challenging global business environment. “FY26 has been a defining year for Motherson as we achieved our strongest-ever revenue performance while maintaining resilient profitability. Our diversified business strategy helped us outperform the market, while our continued investments are positioning us strongly for future growth opportunities,” he said.
The company’s emerging businesses delivered robust growth during the year. Consumer Electronics recorded a 7.5-times increase year-on-year, while the aerospace segment registered 40% growth. Emerging businesses overall grew by 50% during FY26.
SAMIL’s booked business pipeline stood at USD 96 billion, offering strong visibility for medium-term expansion. The order book includes balanced contributions from traditional automotive businesses, electric vehicle programmes and non-automotive verticals.
The company also continued to expand its global manufacturing footprint. Sixteen greenfield facilities are currently under various stages of development, with 13 facilities expected to commence operations during FY27. During the year, SAMIL announced four additional greenfield projects, including facilities in Morocco and Poland for wiring harness operations and new logistics solutions units in India and Hungary.
Capital expenditure for FY26 stood at ₹5,911 crore, while the company expects FY27 capex to remain around ₹6,000 crore. Approximately half of the upcoming investments are expected to support growth initiatives, with a major portion allocated to non-automotive businesses.
The Board of Directors has also approved a final dividend of ₹0.25 per share, subject to shareholder approval. The proposed dividend payout ratio for FY26 stands at 16.4%, reflecting a marginal increase over the previous year. With operations spanning over 425 facilities across 47 countries, SAMIL continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers while steadily expanding into aerospace, healthcare, logistics and industrial technology sectors.
