Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited, a prominent Indian manufacturer of ERW steel pipes and structural tubes, has expanded its product offerings with the launch of stainless steel coils. Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited has introduced a new line-up of stainless steel coils, encompassing hot rolled annealed and pickled (HRAP) coils and cold rolled coils, manufactured from in-house stainless steel slabs and HR coils.
With an installed capacity of 60,000 MTPA as of September 20, 2024, these products are designed for durability, quality, and versatility, catering to diverse industrial applications. The advanced manufacturing process utilizes Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) technology, ensuring consistent product quality. These stainless steel coils excel in strength, corrosion resistance, and adaptability across multiple sectors, making them ideal for industries such as automobiles, transport, construction, and consumer goods.
Expressing pride in this achievement, Vikas Goyal, Managing Director and CEO of Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited, emphasized the product’s alignment with sustainable manufacturing practices and the ability to meet the demanding requirements of diverse industries. According to a CRISIL report, Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited is the only Indian company with a single-location backward-integrated facility for manufacturing ERW steel pipes and tubes, including hollow sections, using narrow-width HR coils. As of March 31, 2024, it remains the sole player in India capable of producing narrow-width HR coils with backward integration capabilities.
The company’s backward integration processes facilitate the production of intermediate products such as sponge iron, blooms/slabs, and HR coils, which are used to manufacture a wide range of finished products, including ERW black pipes and tubes (hollow sections) and galvanized iron (GI) pipes. With an installed capacity of 350,000 MTPA for ERW and GI pipes as of September 20, 2024, Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited continues to strengthen its presence across the value chain while setting benchmarks in quality, innovation, and sustainability.
