Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Business Leader of the Decade’ title at the 15th edition of the AIMA Managing India Awards, recognizing his transformative leadership in steering the JSW Group into a global business powerhouse.
The award was presented to Jindal at a ceremony attended by Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Electronics, and IT, Shri Jitin Prasada. The citation was read by Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG India.
Under Jindal’s leadership, JSW Group has experienced exceptional growth, more than doubling its revenues to US$24 billion. His strategic vision has enabled the group to nearly triple its annual steel production capacity to 39 million tonnes, while also positioning JSW as a key player in renewable energy and cement manufacturing.
This award celebrates Jindal’s critical role in aligning JSW Group with India’s infrastructure development initiatives. Through his guidance, JSW has become the second-largest private player in India’s ports sector and has expanded into emerging industries such as electric vehicles and military drones through global partnerships.
