Saint-Gobain Expands Digital Construction Chemicals Capabilities With Purchase Of Maturix

Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain has taken a major step forward in growing its digital construction chemicals platform by acquiring Maturix, a Denmark-based leader in real-time monitoring solutions for the concrete sector. Maturix provides advanced wireless sensor technology that enables remote tracking of concrete properties during curing and hardening. This technology helps contractors streamline their workflows, enhance traceability, and shorten the concrete construction cycle by up to 50%. It also boosts on-site efficiency while maintaining high-quality concrete and structural integrity. The two companies have been collaborating successfully since 2019.

This purchase strengthens Saint-Gobain’s portfolio of digital tools across the concrete and cement supply chains, allowing customers to cut excess material use and improve operational efficiency. Saint-Gobain has been a pioneer in the digital evolution of the concrete industry, first initiated by GCP with its Verifi® system—a leading digital solution for managing concrete deliveries—used widely across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Verifi® harnesses real-time data to minimize waste, enhance performance, and reduce costs. Maturix’s capabilities complement Verifi® by improving concrete placement on-site, and the two firms are already developing combined offerings. The acquisition of Maturix highlights Saint-Gobain’s commitment to broadening its suite of integrated digital solutions for customers.

Sid Singh, CEO of Verifi®, said: “Bringing together Maturix’s data-driven expertise with Saint-Gobain’s position in concrete additives will open new possibilities for our customers. We aim to offer tailored insights that boost operational transparency and accuracy, helping reduce costs and environmental impact.”

A global leader in sustainable building materials, Saint-Gobain designs, produces, and supplies products and services for construction and industry.
