Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the country’s largest public sector enterprises and a Maharatna company, has partnered with The Art of Living through its outreach arm, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India (VVKI), to implement structured programmes aimed at enhancing emotional well-being, mindfulness, and leadership across the organisation.
The collaboration was formally launched at The Art of Living International Centre in Bengaluru. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Sanjay Dhar, Officiating Executive Director (HR–Learning & Development), MTI, representing SAIL, and Br Pragyachaitanya, Chairperson of VVKI, representing The Art of Living. The signing was held in the presence of KK Singh, Director (Personnel), SAIL. The event was graced and inspired by the presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, whose vision of workplace harmony and holistic development underpins the initiative.
This strategic partnership aims to equip SAIL employees with tools and techniques that promote emotional resilience, reduce stress, and foster personal growth. Through specialised programmes focused on mindfulness, empowerment, and leadership, the initiative seeks to create a more engaged, balanced, and productive workforce. The goal is to build a culture of inclusion and belonging that supports both individual well-being and organisational excellence.
With this agreement, SAIL becomes one of the few leading PSUs in India to formally integrate holistic well-being practices into its employee development framework, setting a precedent for public sector organisations to invest in the overall growth of their workforce.
