Saibal Sen Appointed Chairman of IIF Western Region Amidst 75th Anniversary Celebrations

In a significant leadership transition, Saibal Sen, Managing Director of Metal Impregnations Private Limited, has been elected as the Chairman of The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) Western Region. The official handing over took place during a ceremonial event in Pune, where Saibal Sen and his council were warmly welcomed into their new roles.

Saibal Sen steps into the position previously held by Prayut Bhamawat, Director of Mangalam Steelcast Pvt Ltd. This change comes at a pivotal time as the IIF celebrates its 75th year, a milestone that underscores its enduring legacy in the foundry industry. Under Saibal Sen’s stewardship, the Western Region council is poised to embrace the theme of “REACH” for the upcoming year, which aims to enhance connectivity and knowledge-sharing within the foundry community.

During his inaugural address, Saibal Sen articulated his vision for his tenure, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong interactions among members and chapters. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and outlined his commitment to advancing the IIF-industry relationship to benefit all members. “My prime objective is to promote interaction between members, chapters, and further the Industry / IIF relationship where both IIF and the Industry reach out to each other for the benefit of all the members,” Saibal Sen stated.

The newly appointed IIF Western Region council for the 2024-25 term is led by Saibal Sen, taking the helm as Chairman, with Atin Jain serving as Vice-Chairman. Supporting the executive team are Mahesh Date as Honorary Secretary and Ruma Rao as Honorary Treasurer. The council also recognizes the contributions of Prayut Bhamawat, the Immediate Past Chairman. Additional members include Dhirubhai Patel, Sanjay Waghulde, Yatin Shah, Sangram Patil, Ketankumar Vavaiya, Dhwanish Shah, Charanjeet Singh Kalara, Kamlesh Patel, Rajendra Newadkar, Sanjeev Tungatkar, Rajesh Tanti, Probal Sen, and Samir Parikh. These individuals bring diverse expertise and insights, crucial for driving the council’s initiatives under the REACH theme.
