Sai Life Sciences Limited (BSE: 544306 | NSE: SAILIFE), a leading Indian Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), has announced the launch of a new CMC Process R&D Center at its integrated R&D campus in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art facility, expected to be operational by September 2026, will double the company’s existing process R&D capacity and introduce advanced capabilities in peptide research, oligonucleotide intermediates and linkers, formulation development, and early-phase clinical supplies.

The upcoming R&D block will span 100,000 sq ft across five floors, featuring 140 process chemistry fume hoods with an integrated satellite analytical lab, dedicated laboratories for peptides and oligo intermediates & linkers, a 25,000 sq ft central analytical lab, NCE formulation and early-phase clinical supply capabilities, a kilo lab for early clinical manufacturing, and containment up to OEL 4 (1 µg/m³). The facility is also designed as a ‘Green Building’, emphasizing sustainability alongside scale and specialization.
This investment supports both Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and Dedicated Project Capacity (DPC) engagement models, allowing flexible collaborations with global innovators from early-stage development to late-stage CMC programs. The expansion reflects Sai Life Sciences’ commitment to providing end-to-end, high-quality, and timely drug development solutions, reinforcing its position as a preferred partner for pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide.
