Sagility India Limited a leading provider of technology-driven business solutions for the U.S. healthcare sector, announced today that its near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction goals have received formal approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is an international climate organization that helps companies and financial institutions set and meet GHG reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. Their framework supports efforts to keep global warming within safe limits and avoid severe environmental damage.

SBTi has confirmed that Sagility’s submitted GHG reduction goals meet their standards (Criteria version 5.2) and has categorized the company’s Scope 1 and 2 targets as aligned with their guidance. The company aims to cut absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 54.6% by fiscal year 2034, using fiscal year 2024 as the baseline. Additionally, Sagility plans to reduce Scope 3 emissions—including those from purchased goods, capital investments, energy use, and employee commuting—by 32.5% within the same period.

This official endorsement underscores Sagility’s dedication to following the 1.5°C global warming limit, backed by measurable, science-based objectives. This achievement marks a significant step forward in Sagility’s overall sustainability vision and its long-term plans to actively address climate change.

Ramesh Gopalan, Managing Director and Group CEO of Sagility, commented: “Receiving SBTi approval for our near-term targets is a major milestone. Together with our clients, workforce, and the communities where we operate, we remain focused on creating a climate-aware company.”
