On October 28, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced that it has been awarded the lowest bid for an East Central Railway project valued at ₹186.76 crore. This project entails the design, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of traction substations and associated switching posts to upgrade the electric traction system from a 1×25 KV to a 2×25 KV AT feeding system along the Gomoh-Patratu section in the Dhanbad division of East Central Railway.
Recently, RVNL was also recognized as the lowest bidder for a contract from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, worth approximately ₹270 crore (including GST). This undertaking involves constructing ten elevated metro stations as part of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project (NMRP) Phase 2, specifically in Reach 3A, which includes stations at Hingna Mount View, Rajiv Nagar, Wanadongri, APMC, Raipur, Hingna Bus Station, and Hingna.
Earlier this month, RVNL also secured the lowest bid for an East Coast Railway project, which includes constructing the third and fourth lines between Jarapada and Talcher Road, along with a new line from Angul to Balram, as part of the MCRL Internal Corridor Phase-I doubling project.
The work encompasses various tasks such as earthwork formation, construction of minor and major bridges, track linking, ballast supply, signaling and telecommunications buildings, level crossings, and other miscellaneous tasks along the specified routes.
