RRP S4E Innovation, an emerging leader in electro-optics, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Optix Bulgaria, a globally renowned provider of advanced electro-optics solutions. This agreement sets the stage for transferring technology related to next-generation defense equipment, including ultra-lightweight thermal sights, long-range surveillance systems, and handheld thermal imagers.
Optix Bulgaria is known for its strong focus on in-house research and development, with a portfolio of battle-tested innovations respected worldwide. Through this partnership, the companies aim to bring cutting-edge thermal technologies to the Indian defense sector — delivering high-performance equipment at competitive prices.
Optix’s flagship thermal sight, ‘Diana,’ is already in use at more than 300 strategic sites and is considered a breakthrough in electro-optics. The collaboration will adapt these advanced products to meet India’s specific operational requirements, offering practical solutions tailored to real-world battlefield needs.
Georgy Kosturkov, CEO of Optix Bulgaria, emphasized that combining their technology with RRP’s deep knowledge of India’s defense landscape creates a strong foundation for growth. Since its founding in 2018, RRP S4E Innovation has focused on aligning with the Make in India initiative. With support from the Maharashtra Defence and Aerospace Venture Fund and guidance from Vice President Amey Belorkar, RRP has built a strong infrastructure to help MSMEs and startups scale innovative projects.
