RRP Defense Limited (BSE: 530929) and Meprolight Ltd of Israel, a global leader in electro-optics and weapon sighting systems, today announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering cutting-edge defence technologies to the Indian market. The collaboration encompasses distribution, assembly, technology integration, and a long-term plan for domestic manufacturing aligned with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs.
Under the partnership, the two companies will jointly introduce Meprolight’s portfolio of electro-optic and night-vision solutions for India’s military and law-enforcement agencies. The agreement includes coordinated commercial strategy, shared pricing and payment frameworks, and technology transfer from Meprolight to support assembly, testing, and integration at RRP Defense’s Mahape-based facility. Over time, the partnership will expand to include manufacturing of select systems using locally sourced components through RRP Electronics and other supply-chain partners, strengthening India’s indigenous defence ecosystem.
RRP Defense Chairman Rajendra Chodankar remarked, “Our collaboration with Meprolight represents a major step in enhancing India’s precision defence capabilities. Combining Meprolight’s trusted battlefield technologies with our expanding manufacturing infrastructure enables us to deliver high-quality, locally assembled solutions to the Indian Armed Forces. This partnership reinforces our commitment to building a strong, self-reliant defence manufacturing base in India.”
