Royal Enfield concluded its first-ever Slide School Cup India Championship today at its newly opened facility in Jaipur, with Anish Shetty emerging as the winner after a thrilling final round. The competition, which attracted over 100 riders from across the country, ended in a dramatic tie-breaker between Shetty and Sathya Raj Arumugam, both securing 39 points. Shetty won the title after claiming victory in the third race of the final round, while Arumugam took second place. Karan Drishya finished in third with 29 points.

The three-month tournament, which kicked off at Motoverse 2024, featured seven races across five rounds held in Goa, Pune, Bengaluru, and Jaipur. Riders showcased their flat-track racing abilities on specially designed FT 411 Slide School motorcycles.

“The first edition of the Royal Enfield Slide School Cup in India demonstrated the immense talent of Slide School graduates. We saw incredible performances from all the participants, and I extend my congratulations to every rider. The Cup is aimed at highlighting how flat-track racing helps riders improve their control and adaptability across different terrains. We’re committed to making motorsports more accessible and are excited to offer even more opportunities in the upcoming seasons,” said Adrian Sellers, Head of Custom and Motorsport at Royal Enfield.

The championship event kicked off with an International Flat Track Masterclass by renowned racer Gary Birtwistle, offering valuable insights to participants before the final round. The weekend also marked the first use of Royal Enfield’s new Jaipur Track facility, which includes specialized zones for flat-track racing and off-road challenges.

Following the success of the European Slide School Cup launch in 2024, the Indian championship continues to build on Royal Enfield’s Slide School initiative, which started in 2019 and has expanded to the UK, USA, Thailand, and several European countries.

The new Jaipur Track, located in the RIICO Industrial Area at Kukas, represents a major investment in Royal Enfield’s training infrastructure. The facility includes four zones: Adventure Zone, Slide Zone, Technical Zone, and a Riders’ Lounge. It will serve as a hub for both customer training programs and the development of factory teams. The Slide School Cup has become an essential platform for graduates of Royal Enfield’s training programs to step into competitive racing while emphasizing skill development and accessibility.
