Rosmerta Group, a prominent provider of mobility solutions in India, has secured a pivotal agreement to establish six Automated Testing Stations (ATS) across Maharashtra, operating under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) framework. The project, valued at INR 109.15 crore, spans five years and highlights the state’s commitment to enhancing road safety and vehicle compliance through modern infrastructure.

The six ATS will be located in Gondia, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Ratnagiri, Beed, and Chiplun. Each station will be outfitted with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment to accurately assess the roadworthiness of vehicles, ensuring precision and transparency in vehicle fitness testing. This project aligns with the Government of India’s directive under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) to phase out manual inspections and adopt standardized, technology-driven systems nationwide.

Kartick Nagpal, President of Rosmerta Group, commented on the initiative, saying, “We are privileged to collaborate with the State Transport Department of Maharashtra to introduce world-class automated testing facilities. This partnership will not only enhance vehicle testing accuracy but also improve transparency and accessibility, especially in areas with limited infrastructure. We applaud the department’s proactive efforts to improve roadworthiness and regulatory compliance, setting a benchmark for other states in promoting road safety through innovative solutions.”

This move is part of Rosmerta’s larger INR 400 crore project, which involves the establishment of 21 ATS stations across Maharashtra. Additionally, Rosmerta has successfully run pilot Inspection and Certification (I&C) centers commissioned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), conducting over half a million vehicle tests across India.

Rosmerta continues to strengthen its presence in Maharashtra by collaborating closely with the State Transport Department to deliver transformative solutions that not only ensure regulatory compliance but also contribute to safeguarding public safety on the roads. The deployment of these Automated Testing Stations is a significant step forward in the state’s efforts to modernize vehicle inspection processes and improve overall road safety.
