Rohde & Schwarz is set to host its annual Demystifying EMC (DEMC2024) industry event on February 6, 2024. The one-day virtual conference promises a rich agenda featuring technical presentations, workshops, and live Q&A discussions conducted by EMC experts from Rohde & Schwarz and industry partners.

Rohde & Schwarz will host the DEMC2024 virtual conference on February 6, 2024, offering a day filled with technical presentations, workshops, and live Q&A sessions by EMC experts from Rohde & Schwarz and industry partners.
Covering a spectrum of topics, the program will delve into the latest updates in CISPR, RED, ANSI, ISO, MIL, and Medical EMC standards, alongside discussions on testing methodologies, design principles, risk management, and compliance strategies.

Kicking off with an opening keynote by Christina Gessner, Executive Vice President at Rohde & Schwarz, and Michael Fischlein, Vice President Spectrum & Network Analyzers, EMC & Antenna Test at Rohde & Schwarz, the morning session will feature five 30-minute presentations. The keynote sets the stage for discussions on test requirements and solutions.
Key subjects covered in the sessions include the establishment and maintenance of in-house test capabilities for EMC compliance, understanding calibration and calibration services, and qualifying equipment according to US FCC and EU RED regulations. Furthermore, there are dedicated sessions shedding light on testing small satellites for New Space missions and employing the latest reverberation chamber methods for testing vehicles.
In the afternoon session, the program will commence with an update on the latest CISPR and ISO standards. Professor Arturo Mediano from the University of Zaragoza will provide a practical demonstration of conducted emissions testing. The afternoon will also address challenges in EMC immunity testing and provide insights into the latest developments in medical and automotive testing.
The closing keynote will feature a panel of experts discussing the outlook for EMC testing in the coming decade and beyond. Live moderation will allow participants to interact with EMC experts and pose questions.
