Rockwell Automation’s Singapore manufacturing facility has been named to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Lighthouse Network, recognizing the site’s use of artificial intelligence, automation and digital technologies to improve productivity, quality and workforce performance. The Singapore facility was recognized in the productivity category after deploying more than 50 digital and AI-enabled solutions across its operations. These include intelligent automation, AI-based quality control and predictive maintenance systems.

The transformation has helped the facility improve production efficiency, reduce defects and speed up workforce onboarding. The site has also evolved into a more flexible and data-driven manufacturing operation, allowing teams to use real-time information to make faster operational decisions.

“This recognition reflects how Rockwell is applying advanced automation technologies not just within a single site, but in ways that can scale across our global operations and for our customers,” said Bob Buttermore, Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, Rockwell Automation. “We are focused on turning data into decisions and AI into outcomes – helping manufacturers build Factories of the Future that are more resilient, adaptive and productive,” he added.

The WEF’s Global Lighthouse Network brings together manufacturing facilities that demonstrate the effective use of advanced technologies to achieve measurable improvements in industrial operations. The latest group of Lighthouse sites highlights the growing role of AI in manufacturing, particularly in improving decision-making, accelerating innovation and supporting continuous performance improvement.

Rockwell’s inclusion in the network also provides an opportunity to exchange manufacturing practices and technology approaches with other leading industrial companies worldwide. The company plans to use the platform to share its experience in scaling automation and digital transformation while learning from other Lighthouse facilities.

“The world’s leading manufacturers are no longer optimizing individual processes; they are reimagining entire operating systems,” said Kiva Allgood, Managing Director, World Economic Forum. “The newest Lighthouse sites show how intelligence is becoming embedded into the fabric of operations, enabling organizations to respond faster, learn continuously and unlock new levels of performance across their value chains.”

The recognition reinforces Rockwell Automation’s strategy of helping manufacturers move digital and AI initiatives beyond pilot projects and into large-scale industrial operations. By combining automation, data and AI, the company aims to help customers improve productivity, operational resilience and sustainability.
