RMC Switchgears Limited has announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 5,000 solar pumps across Maharashtra. Valued at ₹90 crore (excluding taxes), the project includes 3HP, 5HP, and 7HP solar pump systems, with completion slated for FY25-26. This significant order highlights RMC’s contribution to India’s clean energy initiatives. Maharashtra’s ambitious solar pump deployment target of 1.5 million units, supported by a ₹100 billion budget, is transforming the agricultural sector. With over 100,000 solar pumps already installed, the state offers vast growth opportunities.
RMC’s involvement in this project strengthens its position in the renewable energy sector, providing sustainable irrigation solutions while aligning with India’s broader goals for clean energy and agricultural development.
The announcement coincides with RMC’s recent investment in a solar module manufacturing facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan, worth ₹100 crore. This plant enhances RMC’s backward integration strategy, reducing reliance on external suppliers and supporting large-scale renewable projects like the Maharashtra solar pump initiative.
