RENOLIT has confirmed the extension of its joint venture with APPL Industries in India for an additional 15 years, reaffirming its long-term commitment to one of the world’s fastest-growing markets. The partnership, operating under the name APPL GOR India Plastics Pvt Ltd, has been a key part of RENOLIT’s presence in India for nearly a decade and a half and remains central to the company’s expansion strategy in Asia.

Since its inception, the joint venture has evolved significantly. What began as a focused operation producing composite sheets for the automotive sector has grown into a diversified manufacturing platform supported by a skilled local workforce, modern facilities, and strong regional expertise. The continued collaboration provides RENOLIT with sustained access to the Indian market and enables close engagement with customers across multiple industries.

India remains a priority growth region for RENOLIT. In parallel with extending the joint venture, the company is also investing in a wholly owned manufacturing plant dedicated to membrane solutions for pumped storage power projects. According to Torsten Maschke, Member of the Executive Board at RENOLIT, the combination of a strengthened partnership, new product development, and independent manufacturing capacity reflects the company’s broad-based approach to growth in India and the long-term potential it sees in the market.

During a recent visit to Pune, representatives from both partners formally commissioned a new production line at the joint venture facility. The line will manufacture “Reapply,” a coated formwork solution for the building and construction sector.

Traditional plywood formwork used on construction sites typically has a short lifespan. RENOLIT’s coating technology significantly increases its reusability, reducing material consumption and lowering overall costs for customers while also supporting more sustainable construction practices.
