ReNew Energy Reports 415% Surge in Q4 Profit, Driven by Solar Manufacturing Growth

ReNew Energy Global Plc has delivered an impressive performance for the fourth quarter and the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, with its solar manufacturing division playing a key role in the company’s success. The company’s Q4 net profit surged to INR 313.7 crore ($37 million), a remarkable increase of 415% compared to INR 60.9 crore in the same quarter of FY24.

In addition, total income for the quarter reached INR 3,439.1 crore, up from INR 2,477.6 crore last year. The solar manufacturing segment alone contributed INR 991.4 crore in revenue from external sales of solar modules and cells, with a net profit of INR 220 crore.

For the entire fiscal year FY 2025, ReNew posted a net profit of INR 459.1 crore, compared to INR 414.7 crore in FY 2024. Total income for the year grew to INR 10,907 crore, up from INR 9,653.1 crore in the previous fiscal year. The company’s solar manufacturing division continued to show robust growth, contributing INR 1,337.3 crore in revenue from the sale of PV modules and cells, with net profit from these sales reaching INR 262.3 crore.

As of March 31, 2025, ReNew’s renewable energy portfolio had expanded to 17.3 GW, up from 13.5 GW a year earlier. The company has since signed 1.2 GW in power purchase agreements, bringing its total renewable energy portfolio to 18.5 GW, which also includes 1.1 GWh of battery energy storage systems.

The company’s commissioned capacity increased by 12.4% year-over-year, reaching 10.7 GW by the end of FY 2025, factoring in the sale of 300 MW of assets. Since the end of the fiscal year, ReNew has added 466 MW of new capacity, including 436 MW of solar and 30 MW of wind.

ReNew Energy’s manufacturing capacity also continues to grow, with an annual production capacity of 6.5 GW for solar modules and 2.5 GW for solar cells. This expansion is a testament to the company’s commitment to meeting the increasing demand for renewable energy solutions while continuing to strengthen its position in the global clean energy market.
