Renault India has continued its strong growth trajectory, reporting a 55% year-on-year increase in domestic wholesale volumes for June 2026 while extending its streak of double-digit monthly growth to ten consecutive months. The company also marked a significant milestone by commencing exports of the all-new Renault Duster from India, reinforcing the country’s growing role in Renault’s global manufacturing and export strategy.
Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, dispatched 4,063 vehicles to dealerships during June 2026, compared with the corresponding month last year. For the first half of calendar year 2026, domestic wholesales reached 25,844 units, representing a 61% increase over the same period in 2025. The company attributed the sustained performance to strong market acceptance of its expanding product portfolio, continued improvements in customer engagement and growing demand across key vehicle segments.
Adding to its momentum, Renault India has started exports of the all-new Renault Duster, with the first consignment of 750 units shipped to South Africa. The development highlights India’s strategic importance as a manufacturing hub serving both domestic and international markets while supporting Renault Group’s broader global supply chain.
The export programme is expected to strengthen Renault India’s manufacturing operations at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which serves as one of the company’s major production bases. The plant has an annual manufacturing capacity of 480,000 vehicles and supports exports to multiple international markets alongside domestic production.
The start of Duster exports also reflects Renault’s confidence in the Indian manufacturing ecosystem, where advanced production capabilities and established supply networks continue to support global quality standards and competitive manufacturing costs. Over the past several months, Renault India has focused on strengthening its presence in the domestic passenger vehicle market by enhancing its product offerings, expanding customer outreach and improving ownership experiences through a wider sales and service network.
The company currently operates nearly 638 customer touchpoints across the country, including more than 200 Workshop on Wheels service locations, enabling it to extend after-sales support to customers across urban and rural markets. This extensive network has played an important role in improving accessibility and strengthening customer confidence in the brand.
Globally, Renault continues to advance its transformation strategy through a growing portfolio of innovative and electrified mobility solutions. Under its long-term “Renaulution” roadmap, the company is focused on enhancing competitiveness, accelerating product innovation and expanding its presence across emerging mobility segments while creating sustainable value for customers and stakeholders.
With domestic sales maintaining strong momentum and exports of the all-new Renault Duster now underway, Renault India is further strengthening its position as a key contributor to the Renault Group’s international manufacturing and export operations while continuing to build its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
