Renault Group Appoints Stephane Deblaise as CEO for India Operations

STEPHANE DEBLAISE APPOINTED CEO OF RENAULT GROUP IN INDIA

Renault Group has appointed Stephane Deblaise as the new Chief Executive Officer for Renault Group in India, effective September 1, 2025. In his new role, Mr Deblaise will be responsible for shaping and implementing the Group’s strategy in India, with all Renault Group entities in the country reporting directly to him.

Mr Deblaise will report to Francois Provost, Renault Group’s Chief of Procurement, Partnerships, and Public Affairs Officer. In addition, Venkatram Mamillapalle, the current Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), will continue to support Deblaise on corporate affairs and assist in driving the Group’s mid-term growth strategy in India.

A 52-year-old graduate of Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School, Mr Deblaise started his career at Saft Batteries before joining Renault Group in 2000 as an Advanced Process Engineer. Throughout his 20-year career at Renault, he has held several important roles, including Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Entry Program in Latin America (2009), Vice President of Product Planning & Programs at Dongfeng-Renault in China (2014), and Vice President of Renault Group Vehicles and Cross Car Line Program (2021).

Since 2022, Mr Deblaise has served as CEO of Renault Korea, where he spearheaded critical transformation initiatives, including modernizing the Busan plant for multi-energy vehicle production. Mr Deblaise’s appointment as CEO of Renault Group India demonstrates the Group’s confidence in his leadership and the significant role India will play in Renault’s global growth strategy.
