Reise Moto, founded by Yogesh Mahansaria, plans to double its tyre manufacturing capacity to four million by the end of this fiscal year. The company has already invested Rs 250 crore in its plant and will invest an additional Rs 125 crore. Currently, the plant operates at 75% capacity, with 75% of its sales coming from exports.
Reise Moto, a joint venture between the Mahansaria Group and Europe’s Mitas brand, produces premium two-wheeler tyres at its 30-acre facility in Gujarat. The company will add radial tyres to its product range this quarter.
The focus is on the premium and performance segment, which is 10-15% of the Indian two-wheeler market but expected to grow. Mahansaria believes this segment will double in the coming years due to more premium models and rising consumer affluence.
